Waking and Watching

What are you watching? I’m watching the Church. It’s far more interesting and and I believe, more significant than what is happening in “the world”. One can’t even keep up with it all anymore. The flood of apostasy is overwhelming. Here’s a recent news item:

In response to public outcry over the Ground Zero Mosque and other mosque projects in the United States, the Jewish group the Anti-Defamation League has formed the Interfaith Coalition on Mosques. The panel’s self-described purpose is to support Muslim’s right to build mosques around the United States.

The group includes clergy from all faith traditions and one of group members is the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission Executive Director Richard Land.

Land says the purpose for the ADL’s Coalition on Mosques is clear.

“To help support the First Amendment for all Americans—we have the right to the free exercise of our faith without the interference of the government. For over a hundred years, the Supreme Court has ruled that’s not just the federal government, it’s all government,” Land stated.

“We agree with that as Baptists. We believe that people have the freedom to worship and to express their faith and to have houses of worship in the places where they live,” Land added.

I’m trusting you see the point: Land, who is is the president of The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), the public policy entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, is on an Interfaith Panel. Interfaith panels exist so that people from different religions can dialogue (Diaprax) until they come to a unified group consensus on a matter. Compromise of Truth (denying Christ and His Word) is required to do this. Denying Biblical Truth for the “common good” in society is the planned end result of the Interfaith panels.

Another interesting situation is the fact that the SBC’s ERLC is a UN-NGO. According to UN Resolution 1996/31, the NGO must support the principles of the UN Charter. The NGO must support the activities, initiatives and programs of the UN. The UN is an antichrist organization with the goals of destroying the Christian faith and setting up a global interfaith religion. Read the Millennium Goals of the UN. UN-NGO’s must be in agreement with the UN agenda. Are you surprised to find Evangelical Church Denominations with UN-NGO status?

Land is also apparently a member of the CFR, as is Rick Warren. Land is a member of their Religious Advisory Committee. Here is an interesting talk Land gave at the CFR. Here is Land giving an open forum Q & A discussion at CFR on “U.S. Foreign Policy and the New Evangelical Agenda”. We cannot watch unless we are awake. Brothers and sisters, are you waking up yet?

U.S. Joins Alliance of Civilizations

“The Alliance of Civilizations is a special project of the UN Secretary-General which seeks to counter the cultural and religious forces which can lead to extremism and polarization in society, and works to actively engage governments in support of civil society projects that help bring communities together. The Alliance has already developed a number of partnerships with US-based organizations, and the entry of the US government into the Alliance is expected to lead to greater participation by US-based academic and research institutions, NGOs, businesses, religious and media groups.”

Here is a quote from the website for the upcoming AoC forum in Rio:

“The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations seeks to address widening rifts between communities and societies by reaffirming a paradigm of mutual respect among peoples of different cultural and religious backgrounds and by helping to mobilize concerted action towards this end.”

Gospel-less Haiti Relief

While looking for news about the Haiti relief effort a few weeks back, I ended up on the World Vision site where I saw a link to the book, The Hole in Our Gospel, by Richard Stearns, the president of World Vision. Looking for information about this book, I found two interviews with statements that are very important for us to understand at this time, so that we may continue to be found faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ.

In this Sojourners interview, Stearns discusses his philosophy of ministry and his position on the president’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.

Read the Sojo interview here at this link.

In this PBS interview, Stearns discusses World Vision’s policy on religion, evangelism and proselytization, as well as his position on Obama’s Faith Based Task Force.

U.S. Dept. of Peace

The campaign is on to establish a cabinet level U.S. Department of Peace. Introduced to congress by Dennis Kucinich, a U.S. Department of Peace (H.R. 808) would be dedicated to studying conditions that would promote domestic and international peace, as well as develop policies that would establish resolutions to national and international conflicts. This department would establish policy to create a “culture of peace”.

dsc01089

The bill calls for “peace training and education” at all levels of society, the creation of the office of Secretary of Peace, the establishment of a U.S. Peace Academy, the institution of Peace Day and the establishment of policy for the prevention of conflict. The goal would be to prevent violence and conflict in all forms. Those who support this legislation state that violence occurs in forms other than physical; therefore this department would establish policy (“solutions”) that would prevent “verbal and emotional violence “ as well.

God’s Word tells us that the reason for conflict, violence and evil in the world is sin and rebellion against God. We know that the only solution is the Prince of Peace, God’s Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. The real peace issue is whether a person has the forgiveness of sins (justification) that Christ provides to those who trust in Him. Real peace is the peace that is established between guilty sinners and a holy God, through the mediation and intercession of Jesus Christ, by the covenant in His blood, through faith.

What does a U.S. Department of Peace mean for us? If you read the bill, you will notice that the language suggests the probability of establishing laws or policies that would make the teaching, preaching and telling of the Gospel, illegal (thus “preventing religious conflict”). The Gospel brings peace for those who believe, and conflict for those who reject it. For those who are promoting the one world religion, the goal is to silence the message that Jesus promised would cause conflict (Matt.10:34), all for the goal of “world peace” and global spiritual unity.

We know what our response to such legislation must be. By God’s grace, and by His Spirit, we must obey God rather than men and continue to be witnesses of the Gospel with boldness, humility, and compassion for the lost, declaring Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Rom.5:1

With Jesus

Here is the latest One World Religion/Beast system news from the UN Interfaith Conference. Threat of terrorism and the quest for world peace are the main reasons given for bringing all religions into interfaith coexistence. I remember back when the “war on terror” was declared and president Bush said, “Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists.” I remember thinking, “Well, I’m not with you, so where does that leave me?”

No longer a political concept only, “terrorism” is now the impetus for religious unity among the nations.

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia said this; “Terrorism and criminality are the enemies of every religion and every civilization. They would not have emerged except for the absence of the principle of tolerance.”

Here’s a quote from Ban; “Concerned about serious instances of intolerance, discrimination, hatred expressions, and harassment of minority religious communities of all faiths, participating states underlined the importance of promoting dialogue, understanding, and tolerance among human beings, as well as respect for all their diverse religions, cultures and beliefs.”

Dear saints, this has everything to do with you. This will eventually be about any testifying, witnessing, preaching, or proclaiming of Jesus Christ that you do. That would not be “conducive to world peace”. It simply will not be allowed by the kings of the earth.

These have one purpose and they give their power and authority to the beast. These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful. Rev.17:13-14.

He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters. Matt.12:30.

Ready to Share the Gospel

Being ready to use current events to share the gospel. Several witnessing conversations I’ve had were the result of someone asking me directly about some current event. After 911, I had neighbors literally coming to my door to ask me what was happening, if God “did that”, etc. They were afraid and they wanted answers. In those cases I told them that this was not “God making that happen to us”, but was the act of evil men. But I told them that this was now the time to hear what God is trying to tell you. Then I went into the gospel with them. I shared about how we can only be “safe” in Christ. They listened. The same thing happened with Katrina and the South East Asia tsunami. The same thing is happening now.

Right now we have government billboards asking us, “READY?”(it begs the question!), we have weird things going on with money, food, gas, markets, jobs, weather……..then there’s America slowly uniting with Canada and Mexico…………and lots more. I’m sure you could add to the list.

About a month ago I was in a store, and I heard a group of businessmen talking about the economy, about recession, and they had tinges of panic and fear in their voices. They were seriously asking each other what was going to happen. I often hear people in public, discussing their fear regarding current events. As things change and events happen, people are bewildered and frankly, afraid. Many times people will openly speak to you about how they feel. We need to be ready to lovingly direct people from these world events to dealing with the ultimate issues of God’s righteousness, justice, love, mercy, and the cross of Christ. We need to be ready to share the gospel.

ONE Faith For All, Pt.3

The Davos World Economic Forum not only discusses economics, but many topics related to the globalization of the world, or, phrased differently, the new re-ordered world system.

The Open Forum panel on “Faith and Modernization”, hosted by Tony Blair, consisted of Muslims, Jews and Catholics, and (Protestant) Christianity. Christianity was being represented by Rick Warren, who claims to be a Baptist Evangelical Christian.

The message communicated by the Muslim, Jewish, and Catholic leaders was basically that religions must coexist, common ground must be found, proselytism must stop, extremism, the source of all the problems, must be stopped, and extremists must be faced and controlled. They declared that all believers (adherents to all religions) must work together in unity for world peace, and that it is in “our hands” to change the world.

Mike Gendron, in his article, The Remarkable Formation of the One World Religion, writes that there are two kinds of unity:

Doctrine is what divides the true church from the emerging world religion. The Bible condemns any unity that is not founded in God’s word. False unity is based upon man’s ambitions and is always independent of God (Gen.11:1-9). This type of unity will be a tool of the Antichrist (Rev. 17-18). On the other hand, biblical unity is based on apostolic truth and is a work of the Holy Spirit, not of man (Eph. 4:3,13; 1Cor.12:13)

When Rick Warren spoke, he stated that the future of the world is religious pluralism, and that the world is becoming more religious, not less. He said “we” cannot solve the ‘Five Giants’ (from the P.E.A.C.E. plan) without involving ‘people of faith’ and their religious institutions. In saying this, he implied people of all faiths, and all religious institutions. He boasted of his membership in the Council on Foreign Relations and promoted the philosophy of the three legged stool of government, business and the ‘faith’ sector working together. He explained that this last leg consists of churches, mosques, synagogues and (Buddhist) temples. He talked about how every village in the world has a church, and by church, he meant any house of worship, of any religion. He said the ‘church’ is the only truly global organization, with the largest pool of committed manpower (volunteer laborers).

Warren said that the ‘church’ has local credibility. This he defines as the local imam, pastor, priest, or rabbi. He asked if we (all houses of worship) can work together with business, government and the U.N. to build the three legged stool. He proposed using houses of worship as community social service distribution centers (managed and funded by government and business). He later admits that the ‘purpose’ of the Purpose Driven Life, is to participate as a volunteer in this interfaith plan to change the world. He challenged the audience with “Can we not all get along?”

Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 1Jn.2:22.

and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. 1Jn.4:3.

Who will build the One World Religion? Those who deny the Lord Jesus Christ.

Towards the end the prime minister of Malaysia said that we have “one faith, one faith that all of us believe in!”

Eventually the world will officially declare: “ONE faith for all!”
