Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ

He will revive us after two days, He will raise us up on the third day! Hosea

Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ

Religion killed me.
By the power of God, He raised me from the dead, with Christ, on the third day. It is the power of God that brings salvation.

***

“You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Acts 10

Christian Religions completely leave out the “with power” part. They told us that we receive the Holy Spirit when we are born again (that is what they taught me) but never a word about THE POWER. Never a demonstration of it either. God anoints His witnesses WITH POWER, spiritual power, to be spiritually alive AND to be dead to sin and religion in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ.

***
God raised Him up on the third day and caused Him to be seen. Acts10.

But…not seen by all the people, but seen by us, His witnesses….we who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.

We are His witnesses… if …we have been with Jesus, if we ate and drank with Him (have had intimate fellowship with Him) after He rose from the dead.

***
Once the 2 witnesses have finished their testimony, and have been killed by those who despise them and hate their message, and are gloating amongst themselves, celebrating in the streets & giving gifts to each other… and the 2 witnesses have been risen and the Spirit of Life from God has entered them, and everyone watching is struck with fear, and they hear the voice of their God, and they brought up to the heavenlies (while their enemies watch)……….

then, their witness (to those people) is done.

The Kingdom of God does not consist in———-

Church attendance, the song service, “showing up to the service”, Church traditions, Church socializing, listening to the sermon, studying systematic theology, debating, learning doctrines, getting a Theology degree, hearing or saying much talk or many “words” (the words may or may not be true, but “words” in and of themselves are not the Kingdom)…………….(etc)…….

but in POWER.

impressive !

As He was going out of the temple complex, one of His disciples said to Him,

“Teacher, look! What massive stones! What impressive buildings!” Mark13:1

Jesus came and tossed the whole showy impressive religious thing on its head: buildings, rituals, liturgies, prayer-beads, altars, shawls, incense, candles, curtains, temple priests, robes, big hats, holy sites, icons,
washings, public piety & pride, religious political worldly power…….

and then sometime soon after he left His humble, lowly “nobody” disciples to spread the good news of the simple gospel to all peoples………

……the religious and pagan and gnostic and political and worldly and unbelieving, and the “great”, and the ambitious, and the warring, and the powerful, and the covetous,
all got together and organized an impressive religious thing again…… in Christ’s name……. and it’s been growing, mighty and powerful and impressive in the world, ever since.

Power through brokenness

For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously…..1Pe2:22

But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.. 2Tim1:8niv

Power.
As things progress along in this time……..and we see the kingdom of darkness is demonstrating its power….. it is imperative that those in the Kingdom of God understand what their true power is.

Those in the kingdom of darkness utilize various terrible things including selfishness, hate, pride, greed, covetousness, self-exaltation, manipulation, control, deception, cruelty, hurting, inflicting pain, killing, and a host of other sins, to aquire satanic power for evil.

In “Christendom” it is a common misconception that power is in self-preservation at all costs, prominence, acceptance, titled authority, status, success, popularity, strategies, education, theology, creeds, debate, leadership, networking, connections, business management, money and even military might and government-politics. This is not God’s power. This is worldly power.

Those in the Kingdom of God have access to the power of God, as did our Lord Jesus Christ when He lived His life on earth. His power (Holy Spirit power) came from God through this:

dying to self, brokenness, chosen weakness, meekness, denial of self, denying one’s flesh, making self “of no importance”, entrusting self completely to God (giving up any control), obedience to God, enduring suffering, rejoicing, humility, love, and blessing and forgiving those who want to kill you.

Jesus did not retaliate, He did not fight back, He did not threaten, He did not defend Himself, He did not assert His “rights”, He did not try to preserve self, He did not withhold forgiveness.

He had died to self. He had chosen self-denial. He was broken.
The spiritual power of God comes through this self-denial, dying to self, BROKENNESS and responding in faith and love and humility.

We will not fight

“Blessed is that servant whom his Master finds so doing! ” Matt.24:46

We will not fight, we will not kill, we will not hate, we will not fear. We will not curse, we will not take oaths, we will not pledge allegiance to the State, to Caesar, to the world, to the pope or to the gods.

We will not resist evil. We will not protect our other cheek. We will not take up arms of war. We will identify ourselves, but we will not defend ourselves. We will be harmless as doves.

We will be glad and rejoice! We will love our enemies and bless those who curse us. We will do good to those who hate us and pray for those who persecute us. We will bless when we are reviled. In our suffering we shall overflow with joy and praise and love and thanksgiving and prayer and trust in our Father. He will give us power and nothing shall hurt us.
We will speak and testify, or else we will be silent, as led by the Holy Spirit. We will not cease to preach of sin, and righteousness, and judgment, and repentance, and also the cross and the blood and the death and the resurrection and life and the power and glory of Jesus Christ. We will not cease to proclaim Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. We will not cease to pray, and to watch, and to hope and to rejoice in our God and Savior and King.

2 harlots

‘I SIT as A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.’  Rev.18:7

1. Jesus redeems, purifies and gives Life to the poor-in-spirit harlot on the street corner who repents.

“Your sins are forgiven. Go and sin no more”, He says to her. She receives His love, becomes His friend, and obeys and follows Him with faith, tears of repentance, much rejoicing, in humble obedience with holy and undivided love for Him.

2. Jesus warns and then judges the Haughty

Harlot on the corner of Church & Main St. who does not repent.

“I have other lovers”, She says. “I love Balaam’s teaching, I love Jezebels, I love those Nicolaitans; they’re all a benefit to me. I love spiritual adultery (it’s fun and profitable!), I love the world, I love myself, I have a name that I am alive, (I love my name I gave myself, I love my reputation, my fame), I love to flaunt my stuff. I have power, I get to influence and help the world rulers, I am successful, I love being lukewarm, I am rich, and am wealthy and have need of nothing. I love to commit fornication with the kings of the earth. I get to show up at all the important events, dressed to kill, and hobnob with the important people! I love to ride that Beast. I am dressed so fine with gold, jewels and colorful fabrics. I welcome demons and unclean spirits and hateful birds to come dwell in me. I invite everyone and everything to come in to ME. I love to glorify myself and live sensuously. I love to get drunk on the blood of the saints and witnesses of Jesus. I have arrived! I help rule the earth! I sit as a Queen! I am sure I will n e v e r s e e m o u r n i n g! I, I, I, i, i……i…………….i………………….”

Give Him Glory!

The Planetarium show at the California Academy of Sciences was quite an adventure. You start inside the museum and slowly go up until you are viewing the Bay Area from the sky. Ascending upward, you look down on the Pacific coast until you are up in space. After a short tour of some of our planets, and viewing Earth from space, you venture out to get a wide view of our galaxy and visit some nearby stars. Then it is off to deep space where zillions of God’s other galaxies decorate the observable universe.

Out of Humanist obligation to continuously indoctrinate in the new paradigm, the themes of evolution, global warming, environmentalism, and possible life on other planets were present. We expected as much. But what riled me was when they started bragging on mankind and his achievements in discovering and documenting the cosmos using advanced space technology. Toward the end of the show the narrator said something about how wonderful we are that we have “numbered the stars” (and named them). I thought, wait a minute! Who has numbered the stars?

I was bursting with desire to get up and tell everyone that God created the stars and HE numbered them. We are not wonderful for discovering the stars. The stars were created to display the wonder, power and glory of God the Creator, that we may worship Him. The heavens declare the glory of God!

He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them. Great is our Lord and of great power, His understanding is infinite. Ps.147:4-5.

Fear God, and give Him glory… and worship Him who made the heaven and the earth….Rev.14:7.
