voluntary

The people will volunteer freely in the day of Thy power.. Psalm110

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses… Acts1:8

Going to baseball games (Masonic “philosophy of life” metaphor rituals) and football games (pagan “sex” metaphor ceremonies) is currently voluntary. Voting is voluntary. Going to Church is voluntary. Pledging allegiance to the flag is voluntary. Watching TV shows like the satanic “Superbowl halftime show” is voluntary.

What if they started coming around like they did in the 1st century, with mobile altars where you had to pledge allegiance and declare loyalty to say, the pope, or the USA, the president/king/dictator, the UN Charter, the Agenda 21, the global one world federation, Humanity, the Earth(Gaia), the gods, the new Earth Constitution (Global Law), the New Global Moral Commandments(Global Religion), or something like that?

What if tossing in the incense and saying, “ceasar is lord”, or something to that effect via modern means, was reinstated? What if this act proved a person’s committment to world peace and security? What if they said it proved allegiance to the “god” of the global government or global religion? What if it were required of every person, not voluntary? Are we prepared spiritually today, right now if need be, like they were in the first and second century Roman Empire?

The witnesses thru time since the giving of Christ’s promised Holy Spirit power, were volunteers. Because of love for Christ, they voluntarily chose to make their witness for Him. They voluntarily chose to say “no” to demonstrations of loyalty to this world system, and “yes” to demonstrations of loyalty to Christ Jesus. Their witness was voluntary, motivated by love. Their power to be witnesses was from the Holy Spirit.

Now you voluntarily choose to say ’no’ to demonstrations of loyalty to other gods and the kingdoms of this world. Now you voluntarily choose to demonstrate your love and loyalty to Christ and His Kingdom, which is not of this world.

That great cloud of witnesses from Hebrews 12:1 is not only a past event, describing only ancient saints from two thousand years ago.

How sweet that Jesus has spoken many words to us, and continues to speak to us through the Holy Spirit, to prepare us for our own part in the great drama. As you take your voluntary active and verbal stand for loyalty to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom, you become a witness. As a witness of Jesus Christ, you too become part of that great cloud.

Lofty words, published books, well attended conferences

Dear children, let us love one another not just with words and speech,
but in deed and truth. 1John3:18

deed=actions

Yes right words are important, yes truth is important
but so are deeds …….

Missing even 1 of those 3 will make a mess
and even cause people to be hurt.

Many Lofty words, claims of knowing truth, published books, well attended conferences, exclusive “invitation only” Theology clubs, popular Movements, superstar famous Christian Leaders…………. nice, but is there present, the fruit of the Spirit?

The Holy Spirit.

The Spirit of Jesus.

By our fruits (deeds) shall we be known.

Each tree is recognized by its own fruit….. by their fruit you shall know them.

Fruit of love.

Fruit of kindness.

Fruit of gentleness.

Fruit of courage in the face of fearful trials (a manifestation of faith).

“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof”

(The power of God to manifest the deeds.)

These who deny the power thereof, do not just act religious and talk religious, and perhaps verbally deny the power of God….they deny it with their actions; there is no demonstration in them, of the power of God.

Which comes from the Holy Spirit of God.

……These who deny the power thereof…………. :

From such turn away.

words and power in the kingdom

For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power. 1Cor4:20

Christ the power of God 1Cor1:24

The words we speak to one another, teach one another,  to exhort, edify and encourage one another, are given to us by the Lord, that we may all help and serve one another in love, according to how He leads us.

The words we speak, in and of themselves, are not power. The power is the Holy Spirit of God, which dwells within if we are a child of God, Who makes us understand, or Who challenges, comforts, helps, encourages and strengthens us. Yes He gives us words to share with others; but it is His power that works, not our words.

Teachers may teach and exhorters may exhort, but there is no power at all in their words. The power that makes anything happen in the lives of the hearers, is from the Holy Spirit of God.

We share words with one another, but it is Jesus Christ Himself, who teaches us anything. He teaches us, and we understand, by His power. (But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, John14:26). This revelation of truth, from Him to us, happens by His power.

Our words are many and they are nothing by themselves. The power of the Lord our God is His Spirit working — giving power to live whatever truth
the Lord is bringing us into reality in our lives.

For example: we may hear teaching and exhorting and instruction and warning and prophecies and edification all day long. But the power of the Holy Spirit of God will make these things happen in the kingdom:

Loving Truth
Proclaiming and preaching the Lord Jesus Christ
Desire to repent and the act of repentance
Prayer for others
Love, mercy, compassion for others
Love for the saints
Wanting to forgive those who have hurt us
Wanting to love the unlovely saints or those who are not our “style” or those who irritate our flesh
Wanting to crucify the desires of the flesh
Purposely avoiding sin
Killing sin, ie crucifying the flesh
Dying to self, Denying self
Taking up cross, following Jesus
Giving blessing and kindness to those who curse us
Trusting Him and praising Him through receiving reviling, cursing, mocking and hate
Fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control
Caring for people
Loving neighbors
Loving enemies
Forgiving those who sin against us
Forgiving those who hate us and want to kill us
Bringing the gospel to the world
Freeing people from bondage
Feeding people the bread of life
Dealing with evil spirits
Loving and helping the saints
Doing and practicing the things that Jesus said to do; obeying Jesus’ instructions
Giving your life for others
Speaking His words, as led by Him, to the world’s antichrist powers that be.
Staying silent, as led by Him, when being interrogated by the world’s antichrist powers that be.
Overcoming the world system
Enduring to the end
(and more)

Living in the kingdom of God= living in His power.

This power MAKES THINGS HAPPEN. This is the power of the living God, inside you, the same power, the same Spirit, that worked in our Lord Jesus Christ when He was here, in His flesh.

The power to obey, the power to forgive, the power to love, the power to deny self, the power to declare Jesus Christ to those who hate Him, the power to suffer rejection and persecution with hope and faith, the power to die. This is the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. This is the power of the Lord Jesus Christ!  The power of Christ crucified! This is the resurrection power!  His death and His life now in us! THIS is the kingdom of God. This is where the kingdom gets played out in us and within us…. not in our words, but in HIS POWER, in us. The kingdom of God is within you, it is the Holy Spirit life and power of  Jesus, our Lord and our God:  the power of Christ in you.

Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ

He will revive us after two days, He will raise us up on the third day! Hosea

Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ

Religion killed me.
By the power of God, He raised me from the dead, with Christ, on the third day. It is the power of God that brings salvation.

***

“You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Acts 10

Christian Religions completely leave out the “with power” part. They told us that we receive the Holy Spirit when we are born again (that is what they taught me) but never a word about THE POWER. Never a demonstration of it either. God anoints His witnesses WITH POWER, spiritual power, to be spiritually alive AND to be dead to sin and religion in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ.

***
God raised Him up on the third day and caused Him to be seen. Acts10.

But…not seen by all the people, but seen by us, His witnesses….we who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.

We are His witnesses… if …we have been with Jesus, if we ate and drank with Him (have had intimate fellowship with Him) after He rose from the dead.

***
Once the 2 witnesses have finished their testimony, and have been killed by those who despise them and hate their message, and are gloating amongst themselves, celebrating in the streets & giving gifts to each other… and the 2 witnesses have been risen and the Spirit of Life from God has entered them, and everyone watching is struck with fear, and they hear the voice of their God, and they brought up to the heavenlies (while their enemies watch)……….

then, their witness (to those people) is done.

***
The Kingdom of God does not consist in———-

Church attendance, the song service, “showing up to the service”, Church traditions, Church socializing, listening to the sermon, studying systematic theology, debating, learning doctrines, getting a Theology degree, hearing or saying much talk or many “words” (the words may or may not be true, but “words” in and of themselves are not the Kingdom)…………….(etc)…….

but in POWER.

Power through brokenness

For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously…..1Pe2:22

But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.. 2Tim1:8niv

Power.
As things progress along in this time……..and we see the kingdom of darkness is demonstrating its power….. it is imperative that those in the Kingdom of God understand what their true power is.

Those in the kingdom of darkness utilize various terrible things including selfishness, hate, pride, greed, covetousness, self-exaltation, manipulation, control, deception, cruelty, hurting, inflicting pain, killing, and a host of other sins, to aquire satanic power for evil.

In “Christendom” it is a common misconception that power is in self-preservation at all costs, prominence, acceptance, titled authority, status, success, popularity, strategies, education, theology, creeds, debate, leadership, networking, connections, business management, money and even military might and government-politics. This is not God’s power. This is worldly power.

Those in the Kingdom of God have access to the power of God, as did our Lord Jesus Christ when He lived His life on earth. His power (Holy Spirit power) came from God through this:

dying to self, brokenness, chosen weakness, meekness, denial of self, denying one’s flesh, making self “of no importance”, entrusting self completely to God (giving up any control), obedience to God, enduring suffering, rejoicing, humility, love, and blessing and forgiving those who want to kill you.

Jesus did not retaliate, He did not fight back, He did not threaten, He did not defend Himself, He did not assert His “rights”, He did not try to preserve self, He did not withhold forgiveness.

He had died to self. He had chosen self-denial. He was broken.
The spiritual power of God comes through this self-denial, dying to self, BROKENNESS and responding in faith and love and humility.

Two Kingdoms

We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 1Jn5:19

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, Col.1:13

For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power. 1Cor4:20

The kings, rulers and powers of the earth plot and cooperate together with the wolves in sheep’s clothing, following the god of the goats to hell (and bringing many with them). On their way there, they party and “conquer the earth” in prideful worldly victory, with fists raised and swords and high-powered weapons drawn, killing others and saying “We do whatever we want, we run this town, our kingdoms rule, hail to our god.”

But the little sheep follow the Lamb, the Shepherd of the sheep, withersoever He goest. They obey Jesus, doing what He commanded, and follow Him to where He went: to the cross. There they die to self and live in Christ, laying down their flesh on the cross to die, bringing the life of Christ to others and saying “not my will Father but Thy will be done, this world is not our home, Thy kingdom come Thy will be done in us, be Thou glorified in us, Lord Jesus our King.”

The Power of the Gospel

Daniel from Better Than Sacrifice brings us the follow up to his post, ‘The Mysterious Case of the Disappearing Gospel’, in which he issues the clarion call to declare Christ crucified. In this time when many church systems, “Christian organizations” and parachurch ministries have as their decided rule and practice to NOT proclaim the actual gospel, this article serves up witnessing encouragement.

Here is a snip:

There’s nothing wrong with Christians showing love in such practical ways, of course. In fact, this is a good thing! But this is not the means that God uses to save people.

No, Paul tells us plainly: ‘it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe’.

And which message is it that saves? Which message is it that is a stumbling block and foolishness? Which message is it that is ‘Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God’ to those who are being called?

It is the message of ‘Christ crucified’.

‘Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God’ comes through the preaching of this message.

If you would love your neighbour, bring him ‘Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God’. Tell him of how, without Christ, he is under God’s wrath and will receive the eternal punishment that he has earned by his rebellion and sin. Tell him of the Christ crucified for sinners such as he. Tell him of the Christ who was buried, and who rose again on the third day. Call him to repentance. And give him the offer of forgiveness of sins in Christ to all those who put their trust in Him.

This is what it means to love your neighbour as yourself. This is what it means to proclaim repentance and the forgiveness of sins in Christ.
