Unity in the One World Religion

Here is a chart from the July-Sep.2007 issue of Proclaiming the Gospel newsletter, titled Common Bonds for Unity, and excerpts from the article, The Remarkable Formation of the One World Religion, by Mike Gendron.

The True Church

♦ Receives divine revelation from Scripture alone (2 Peter 1:20)

♦ Is called by God their Father, saved by Jesus Christ and sealed and sanctified by the Holy Spirit (Col. 1:9; Eph. 2:8; 1 Cor. 1:3)

♦ Is saved by God’s grace for good works (Eph. 2:8-10)

♦ Is intolerant, believing there is only one way to God (John 14:6)

♦ Is baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body (1 Cor. 12:13)

♦ Is alive in Christ and abides in His word (Rom. 6:11; John 8:31-32)

♦ Contends for the apostles’ faith (Jude 3)

♦ Is the Bride of Christ, united in love for the Savior (Rev. 19:7; Jn 13:35)

♦ Will worship and serve the true Christ when He appears in glory(Titus 2:13-15)

♦ Will rejoice in God’s peace (Rev. 21:4)

The World Religion

♦ Receives “divine” revelation from demonic sources (1 Tim. 4:1-4)

♦ Is blinded by their father the devil, deceived by false Christs and bonded by another spirit (2 Cor. 4:4; John 8:44; Rev. 9:20)

♦ Teach they are saved by works, but their works deny God (Titus 1:16)

♦ Is tolerant, believing there are many ways to God

♦ Is ensnared by another Spirit to do his will (2 Tim. 2:24-26)

♦ Is spiritually dead and abides in the world (1 John 2:16)

♦ Seeks common truth among all faiths.

♦ Is the harlot of anti-Christ, united in hatred for the saints (Rev. 17:6)

♦ Will worship and serve a false Christ when he appears in deceit (Rev. 13.12)

♦ Will weep in an eternal fire (Mat. 13:42)

What Are Christians To Do? Christians must not tolerate anyone who willfully misrepresents the character or attributes of almighty God or His Gospel. A sound and loving rebuke, using scripture, is necessary to earnestly contend for the faith (Jude 3). To remain silent shows, either an indifference toward the Lord Jesus, or a greater loyalty to another person or institution.

We are commanded to separate from those who persist in false teaching (Rom.16:17; Titus 3:10). For some, this may mean finding another church. For others, it may mean withholding support from ministries that continue to compromise the Gospel. The apostles warned us that if we do not separate from false teachers we could either be disqualified for service, become identified with them and their error, or risk being partakers of their fate (2 Tim. 2:20; 2 John 10-11; Jude 11-13). May God help us all to stand firm and not be carried away by every wind of doctrine!

ONE Faith For All, Pt.3

The Davos World Economic Forum not only discusses economics, but many topics related to the globalization of the world, or, phrased differently, the new re-ordered world system.

The Open Forum panel on “Faith and Modernization”, hosted by Tony Blair, consisted of Muslims, Jews and Catholics, and (Protestant) Christianity. Christianity was being represented by Rick Warren, who claims to be a Baptist Evangelical Christian.

The message communicated by the Muslim, Jewish, and Catholic leaders was basically that religions must coexist, common ground must be found, proselytism must stop, extremism, the source of all the problems, must be stopped, and extremists must be faced and controlled. They declared that all believers (adherents to all religions) must work together in unity for world peace, and that it is in “our hands” to change the world.

Mike Gendron, in his article, The Remarkable Formation of the One World Religion, writes that there are two kinds of unity:

Doctrine is what divides the true church from the emerging world religion. The Bible condemns any unity that is not founded in God’s word. False unity is based upon man’s ambitions and is always independent of God (Gen.11:1-9). This type of unity will be a tool of the Antichrist (Rev. 17-18). On the other hand, biblical unity is based on apostolic truth and is a work of the Holy Spirit, not of man (Eph. 4:3,13; 1Cor.12:13)

When Rick Warren spoke, he stated that the future of the world is religious pluralism, and that the world is becoming more religious, not less. He said “we” cannot solve the ‘Five Giants’ (from the P.E.A.C.E. plan) without involving ‘people of faith’ and their religious institutions. In saying this, he implied people of all faiths, and all religious institutions. He boasted of his membership in the Council on Foreign Relations and promoted the philosophy of the three legged stool of government, business and the ‘faith’ sector working together. He explained that this last leg consists of churches, mosques, synagogues and (Buddhist) temples. He talked about how every village in the world has a church, and by church, he meant any house of worship, of any religion. He said the ‘church’ is the only truly global organization, with the largest pool of committed manpower (volunteer laborers).

Warren said that the ‘church’ has local credibility. This he defines as the local imam, pastor, priest, or rabbi. He asked if we (all houses of worship) can work together with business, government and the U.N. to build the three legged stool. He proposed using houses of worship as community social service distribution centers (managed and funded by government and business). He later admits that the ‘purpose’ of the Purpose Driven Life, is to participate as a volunteer in this interfaith plan to change the world. He challenged the audience with “Can we not all get along?”

Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 1Jn.2:22.

and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. 1Jn.4:3.

Who will build the One World Religion? Those who deny the Lord Jesus Christ.

Towards the end the prime minister of Malaysia said that we have “one faith, one faith that all of us believe in!”

Eventually the world will officially declare: “ONE faith for all!”
