And I heard another voice from heaven, saying,

“Come out of her, my people,

that you may not participate in her sins and that you may not receive of her plagues; for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.” Rev.18:4-5

Confusion. Lies. Riches & pomp. Wealth & luxury. Glitz & glam. Impressive. Unfaithful. Whorish (taking everything in). Fornicates with kings and governments. Likes power. And money. Breeds more like her. Gets her customers drunk. Loves pleasure. The world loves her. She loves the world. Idolatrous, carnal, spiritually dead. Demons dwell inside. A place of bondage to God’s people. And distress. Says She is the gate to God. Deceives. Makes lies her refuge. No shame. Practices witchcraft (m-a-n-i-p-u-l-a-t-i-o-n). Proud, arrogant. Over confident; thinks she will last forever. (“I sit as Queen!”) Loves titles. And recognition. Loves riding the Beast. Gets in bed with the Beast. Wants to rule the world. Wants to rule over God’s people. Praises self. Builds a tower to exalt herself. Brings everyone in to her. Sells paganism. Makes merchandise. Out of you. Buys and sells souls. $$$$$. Religious. Powered by flesh. Promotes herself. Committed to the world. Committed to herself. Sensual, narcissistic. Kills the prophets. And the saints and witnesses.

He is also the mediator..Hebrews 7:6

Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant…Hebrews 12:24

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men,

the man Christ Jesus. 1Tim.2:5

Who is your mediator? A man, or Jesus Christ? A thing, or Jesus Christ? Yesterday I was listening to Christian radio in my car. The man preaching sounded ok until he started preaching that the pastor of the Church is the mediator between the people and God! He preached the pastor as mediator!  I couldn’t believe my ears! This was an “Evangelical” pastor teaching; this was not a Roman Catholic station. I try not to listen to mainstream Evangelical Christian teaching anymore; when I do I end up yelling at the radio and preaching Truth back at it. The false doctrine in the Church is astounding. Don’t assume yours is pure as the driven snow. Let’s just get this out on the table now: Jesus Christ is the one mediator between any man and God for salvation. And likewise for any believer, Jesus Christ alone and not any man, is the only mediator between that saint and God, for their ongoing relationship. This false teaching is a new trend currently in certain Reformed Evangelical circles. I’ll be honest about the Roman “Baptist” Church, will you?

Narrow Way

..”the way is broad that leads to destruction”..Matt.7:13

..”the way is narrow that leads to life and few are those who find it.” Matt.7:14

The way of Christ is the narrow way. The narrow way is the way of the cross. The broad way, or wide path, leads to destruction, but the narrow way leads to life. Jesus said there are few. Some say they have been through the narrow gate but then they got off the narrow road and went over to the wide road. They have been walking on it their entire lives. The road they are on does not lead to life. Most in Christianity have been sold a bill of goods believing that walking on the wide way is really ok with God. They think He won’t mind because once upon a time they professed Him and hung around the narrow gate with their friends, so now they can have a good time on the broad way for the rest of their lives.

But only the narrow way leads to life. This is the path Jesus walked. You cannot follow Him unless you stay on this narrow path because that is the only place where He is. The wide path is easy, fun and popular with pleasures and self-indulgence. On the narrow path there is purging, separating and suffering with tribulations and self-denial. On the wide path it is very loud with all who follow after the world making a great clamoring noise. But following Jesus on the narrow path it is quiet and if you listen, you can hear your Shepherd speaking to you.

Come into the ark

“Come thou…. into the ark.” Gen.7:1

“Come unto Me..” Matt.11:28

What are you being beckoned to come in to? There are many voices competing with God’s  for your attendance. There is, “Come in to our business corporation”.  Some bid you, “Come join our humanitarian organization.” How about, “Come into our entertainment establishment.” Some lure you, “Come into our government/military organization.” There is, “Come into our political organization.” Many invite you, “Come into our religious or social organization.”

The places we go into surround us, own our hearts, possess us, lead us, and provide security for us. They become what we trust in. The places we go into become what we serve, live for and offer ourselves up to. Perhaps we have entered into the wrong place. God is not calling us into an organization, an establishment, a corporation, an institution, a social club, or a building. Rather God calls us, “Come into the ark.” He is calling us into and unto Himself.

Called out

“..unto the ekklesia of God, which is at Corinth..” 1 Cor. 1:2

Jesus calls out each of His disciples personally. Ekklesia means called out ones; called out to assemble unto God. It is the NT term for the called out people of God. When among us in the flesh, Jesus called out His disciples from heart devotion to the secular, pagan world system, which they left to follow Him. He called out His followers from heart devotion to the prevailing religious system, which they left to follow Him. As they heard the call from the Lord, they had to separate from devotion to these other things in order to have singular heart devotion to Him. Ekklesia is not a place, a building an organization or an institution. The ekklesia is us. He has called us out, to separate unto Him, to be His people. He is calling out and gathering a people, an assembly, a congregation, for Himself.

W.E. 2.0

Brothers and sisters, welcome to Witnessing Encouragement 2.0, my new blog at the same address. There is much on my heart that I want to share with you now; things that the Lord has given me to speak to you. I desire to share the Word of God with you. I care about you and hope to encourage and build you up in your faith walk with our Lord Jesus Christ. It gets harder as we go on in Him, if we are remaining on the narrow path. He lovingly gives us each other to help one another in our journey to our Father’s house. In this place you will find very short messages for your edification. My prayer is for your increasing love and devotion to our Lord,  “who will also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Cor. 1:8. May He be glorified in His saints.
