You are my friends.
I don’t have an organization “over” me, or a Church “over” me, or a religious corporation “over” me. I don’t have a pastor “over” me or elders “over” me. I’m not part of a hierarchy, in which everyone is ranked according to levels of importance. Jesus is my friend. My husband is my friend. My kids are my friends. My friends are my friends. I call you friend. You are not my servants or slaves either. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.
We are all in one accord in one place and that is in truth; Isaiah 61:8/Acts 2:1. We may not see each others faces but we stand watch as watchmen guarding where the Lord has placed us. Watchmen can be a very lonely group of soldiers sometimes (2 Timothy 2:3, 4). I ask to take this watch and will continue to keep my post. The quietness has given me the time I needed with the Lord and lifted many burdens (Matthew 11:29).
Beautiful thank you!
John 15:14-15 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.
The question is not do you know Jesus but does Jesus know you and call you friend.
Love this, thanks Rich!
