For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power. 1Cor4:20
Christ the power of God 1Cor1:24
The words we speak to one another, teach one another, to exhort, edify and encourage one another, are given to us by the Lord, that we may all help and serve one another in love, according to how He leads us.
The words we speak, in and of themselves, are not power. The power is the Holy Spirit of God, which dwells within if we are a child of God, Who makes us understand, or Who challenges, comforts, helps, encourages and strengthens us. Yes He gives us words to share with others; but it is His power that works, not our words.
Teachers may teach and exhorters may exhort, but there is no power at all in their words. The power that makes anything happen in the lives of the hearers, is from the Holy Spirit of God.
We share words with one another, but it is Jesus Christ Himself, who teaches us anything. He teaches us, and we understand, by His power. (But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, John14:26). This revelation of truth, from Him to us, happens by His power.
Our words are many and they are nothing by themselves. The power of the Lord our God is His Spirit working — giving power to live whatever truth
the Lord is bringing us into reality in our lives.
For example: we may hear teaching and exhorting and instruction and warning and prophecies and edification all day long. But the power of the Holy Spirit of God will make these things happen in the kingdom:
Loving Truth
Proclaiming and preaching the Lord Jesus Christ
Desire to repent and the act of repentance
Prayer for others
Love, mercy, compassion for others
Love for the saints
Wanting to forgive those who have hurt us
Wanting to love the unlovely saints or those who are not our “style” or those who irritate our flesh
Wanting to crucify the desires of the flesh
Purposely avoiding sin
Killing sin, ie crucifying the flesh
Dying to self, Denying self
Taking up cross, following Jesus
Giving blessing and kindness to those who curse us
Trusting Him and praising Him through receiving reviling, cursing, mocking and hate
Fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control
Caring for people
Loving neighbors
Loving enemies
Forgiving those who sin against us
Forgiving those who hate us and want to kill us
Bringing the gospel to the world
Freeing people from bondage
Feeding people the bread of life
Dealing with evil spirits
Loving and helping the saints
Doing and practicing the things that Jesus said to do; obeying Jesus’ instructions
Giving your life for others
Speaking His words, as led by Him, to the world’s antichrist powers that be.
Staying silent, as led by Him, when being interrogated by the world’s antichrist powers that be.
Overcoming the world system
Enduring to the end
(and more)
Living in the kingdom of God= living in His power.
This power MAKES THINGS HAPPEN. This is the power of the living God, inside you, the same power, the same Spirit, that worked in our Lord Jesus Christ when He was here, in His flesh.
The power to obey, the power to forgive, the power to love, the power to deny self, the power to declare Jesus Christ to those who hate Him, the power to suffer rejection and persecution with hope and faith, the power to die. This is the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. This is the power of the Lord Jesus Christ! The power of Christ crucified! This is the resurrection power! His death and His life now in us! THIS is the kingdom of God. This is where the kingdom gets played out in us and within us…. not in our words, but in HIS POWER, in us. The kingdom of God is within you, it is the Holy Spirit life and power of Jesus, our Lord and our God: the power of Christ in you.

Wonderful list sister. That verse, the kingdom of God not in word but in power, is such a missing reality today. Praying for the elect to walk in it by faith more and more as the days grow more evil.
God bless you and your family.
In Christ -Jim
Thank you Loretta and be blessed in Jesus name..
Your words are of the Spirit and of His truth. The grace of God working in you.
Not by the might of men, not by the power of men; but by His Spirit does the Lord do a mighty work within His vessels of obedience through faith….peace bill
