Woe to the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is at the head of the fertile valley of those who are overcome with wine! Isaiah 28:1
And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. 1Pe.5:4
She (wisdom) will place on your head a garland of grace; she will present you with a crown of beauty. Prov.4:9
For who is our hope or joy or crown of exultation? It is not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? For you are our glory and joy. 1Thes.2:19-20
In that day the LORD of hosts will become a beautiful crown and a glorious diadem to the remnant of His people…Isaiah 28:5
Jesus….. crowned with glory and honor…. Heb.2:9
Those in the Church wearing the proud crown are on one side of the Plumbline. Those wearing the glorious crown are on the other. The crown of pride is worn by the leaders of the apostate man created Harlot False Church, and by many multitudes in apostacy therein. The Thing they have created for themselves is now a fading flower, its “beauty” tarnished. The fertile valley has dried out and is dead. They are drunk on false doctrine; they are overcome with the wine of the false prophet’s lies. They are quite proud of themselves though. They honor and exalt themselves. They desire the things that give them pride. They glory in their life, flesh, prosperity and success. They are crowned with the fading crown of their prideful works of the flesh.
But the crown of glory is worn by those who love and long for Lord Jesus. It is worn by those who love the wisdom of God, who fear the Lord, who hold fast His words, who keep His commandments. It is worn by those who love and abide in the truth. It is worn by those who joyfully and diligently labor over others who will be in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming. It is worn by those whose desire is the beautiful and glorious LORD of hosts. They desire Jesus. It is worn by those who treasure and glory in our Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. It is worn by those who humbly bow before Jesus who is crowned with glory and honor: Jesus who humbled Himself through suffering, that by the grace of God He might taste death for us. He is crowned with glory and honor, and His people are crowned with Him.
