Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. Joel 3:14
Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. Rev.4:1
Christians in the Valley of Decision! Which side will they go to stand on? On one side is the Law and condemnation, the other is the Gospel and grace. One side mixes Jesus with idol worship, the other side has singular devotion to Christ. One side is pride, the other humility. One side decides the Chosen People are those of man’s seed by the flesh, the other side knows the Chosen People are those in Christ by the Spirit. One side wonders after the Beast, the other follows the Lamb wherever He goes. One side is marked by the Beast, the other marked by God. One side is of the Bondwoman Hagar, the other of the Free woman Sarah. One says Zion is physical and on the map, the other knows Zion is spiritual in Christ. One follows satan and wants to rise up to take Christian Dominion over the earth to rule! The other side follows Jesus and humbly lays down their lives as a lambs led to the slaughter. One side has works, religion and ritual, the other has relationship in the Spirit. One offers group consensus, admiration and approval, the other offers rejection and trials in the lonely wilderness. One stands with Moses, one stands with Christ. One has a covenant with Judaism, one has a covenant with Christ. One loves and longs for the physical country of Israel, one loves and longs for the better country, that is, the heavenly one (Heb.11:16). One aligns with Jerusalem below, one resides in Jerusalem above. One is positioned under the wrath and judgment of God, the other is positioned under the righteousness and grace of Christ. Christians are in the valley of decision between these two mountains. Many professing Christians will choose Mt. Sinai, physical Zion. But you have come to spiritual Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem (Heb.13:22) and to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant (v.24). You have come to the Lamb on Mt. Zion to stand with Him, for you have been marked by God.
