Isaiah 28

Therefore, hear the word of the LORD, O scoffers, who rule this people who are in Jerusalem, Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we have made a pact. The overwhelming scourge will not reach us when it passes by, for we have made falsehood (lies) our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.” Isaiah 28:14-15

This chapter is about the leaders of the False Prophet Apostate Church, and the people inside it. The wine is the false doctrine. The vomit is lies. Everyone in this Church is on baby milk. They don’t want to listen and hear truth. God addresses the leaders: they have made a covenant with death (the satanic Beast government), and with hell (satan’s gospels, satan’s doctrines), and have made lies their refuge (deception in the Church is their refuge, they choose to find safety in their lies). They say, “Hey, we’re saved; we’re good to go!” Thus they think that the holy judgment of God will pass them by and will not touch them. But God has laid in Zion His cornerstone, the Lord Jesus. God has made Christ the measuring line for the judgment of the Church. God’s “hail” will sweep away their refuge of lies. Their covenant with death shall be cancelled, their pact with hell shall not stand. The overwhelming scourge will pass through; they will become its trampling place. It will be sheer terror for them when they figure out what this means.
