God Brings an End to It

They do not say in their heart,
“Let us now fear the LORD our God” Jeremiah 5:24

‘Shall I not punish these people?’ Declares the LORD. ‘On a nation such as this shall I not avenge myself?’ An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land: the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule on their own authority; and My people love it so! But what will you do at the end of it? Jeremiah 5:29-31

False teachers and hireling pastors set a trap and lie in wait. They catch men for themselves. Their Church Houses are like cages full of evil birds. They are full of lies. They have become rich, well fed, popular and powerful. They excel in deeds of wickedness, teaching and doing what is not of God. They do not plead the cause of the orphan nor defend and help the poor Christians. But they prosper! Will God not punish this? Will God not avenge Himself? An appalling and horrible thing has happened within visible Churchianity; the prophets prophesy falsely and the ‘priests’ rule over the people on their own authority. And the Church people love it so! But what will you do when the end of all this comes? God is going to bring and end to all of this.

  1. corrected some bad typos… probably still missed some though, can you delete my first comment 🙂

A few years ago the Lord brought me to a personal “great awakening” by reading through Jeremiah. It was like I was reading the story of my life and my AOG church where I attended. It truly is shocking that church people can look at todays christianity and not discern that it is counterfit at worse, fallen at best, and on the verge of eternal judgment. But what will you and I do in the end? Walk in humility and in the grace and fear of the Lord… I am not sure what else can sustain us in this day where the very elect will be decieved if it were possible.

God bless you in Christ Jesus sister.

  2. that it is counterfeit at worse, fallen at best, and on the verge of eternal judgment.

hi Jim, this is the truth. I believe God is waking His true people within this; revealing this truth to us/ them. This is a process that is happening now. The Truth shall make us free. God bless you!

  3. Jim I believe He keeps many of His from being deceived. And then there are many more which are deceived for a time, then He wakes them up to the Truth, and they walk in it. Thus all His true ones shall walk in Truth. The tares, the birds of the air,(the fake & evil) that are within, remain in deception and they are lost. His wheat, the true, is brought to Truth, if not now, then later (now, soon). Loretta

  4. Yes. Actually, ALL of Psalm 73 is good for your post. It is akin to Deuteronomy32:35 where the LORD promises: “It is mine to avenge, I will repay. In due time their foot will slip.” It’s a terrifying promise to whom His justice is destined for.

  5. amen Paul, the entire Psalm 73………. a fitting description of the contrasting behavior and end, of the different groups that abide within the visible Church.

The Righteous in the Church: the wheat, the Bride
    One is pure in heart
    suffering/ stricken
    pray for understanding
understand (eventually) the different groups in the Church
are troubled by this– this understanding
was in ignorance until they woke up and came into the Truth
come into the sanctuary of God (the Holy of Holies, the Holy Place)
    continually before Him
    is guided by Him
    receives counsel from Him
    is received into glory afterward
    has nothing but God
desires nothing on earth (or, in the false Church)
flesh and heart fails (in weakness, in response to suffering)
finds only source of strength is God
portion and strength of heart is God
    near to God
nearness of God is his good
    the LORD is his refuge
    Tells of all His works

The Wicked in the Church (tares, snakes, evil birds, beasts)
imaginations of the heart run riot
    speak from on high
set their mouth against the heavens
    tongue parades through the earth
say, “How does God know?” (“He does not know what we are doing”!)
    at ease
    increased in wealth
God sets them in slippery places: He is testing them
He will cast them down to destruction
    far from Him– will perish
will be destroyed for unfaithfulness to God
