Beatitudes, inverted

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matt.5:3

“Because you say, ‘I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing.'” Rev.3:17

It has come full circle now. We have arrived back at the time of Jesus. What is preached by many modern day Scribes and Pharisees in the System is an inversion of what our Lord Jesus Christ taught, concerning walking in the Way of God. They promote: “Blessed are the fully satisfied with themselves spiritually; those who think they are spiritually rich (v3), Blessed are those who are not concerned about their sin, it’s cool because we are eternally secure (v4), Blessed are the spiritually proud (v5), Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for the things of the world and the flesh (v6), Blessed are those who take care of their own business and refer the suffering to Psychologists, Pharmacologists and Social Services (v7), Blessed are the compromisers; the double minded, who share their hearts and ministries in spiritual harlotry with unregenerate man (v8), Blessed are those who blindly support, cooperate with and approve of the satanic wars of the Beast government that kill people we are supposed to love (v9).” And finally, “Blessed are those who have not been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, because that would be embarrassing as we are ashamed of the true Gospel. Blessed are you if all men approve you, if you are praised and loved by the world, if they say wonderful things about you because you have effectively denied Christ (v10-11).”

  1. Very true and like then, the blind do not know they are blind. I hope and pray that as things continue to darken that more will awake and humble themselves and walk in His grace. I love these new short hard hitting posts.

  2. Loretta,

Believe me when I tell you that I am not trying to inflate your ego here as I know you to be a humble servant of Christ and your motives are God glorifying, but these short observational writings you got going on in this blog are, in my opinion, book material. And you only just started. This latest contribution is a real kicker. May God continue to bless, inspire and lead you as continue to edify, encourage and educate the brethren. Keep up the good work!

  3. hello Paul, we are all only vessels of mercy, to carry the witness of the truth of the gospel to the lost and the witness of the truth of the gospel to the saints. (And to edify one another…) May God give us all boldness, an increasing devotion to Him and a burden for one another.
