What we don’t need:
- Health, wealth & prosperity
- Stocks, investments & benefits
- 401K’s
- Nice homes
- Fancy Vacations
- Status, power, and worldly perks
- Nice clothes
- Physical Security
- Physical Safety
- Men’s approval
- Comfort and ease
- Things of this world which will fade and burn like grass
- Our own resources
- This world system with all it’s evil
- Goods, kindred and this mortal life
What we have, which God has given us as a gift:
- God Himself, Truth, salvation and His everlasting love for us
- Christ our Treasure in heaven
- Christ our Pearl of Great Price
- Our home in heaven with Jesus our Savior
- Intimacy with Christ
- Spiritual blessings in Christ
- Robes of Christ’s righteousness
- Eternal security in Christ
- Safety from the wrath of God, also every work accomplished by the death of Christ on our behalf
- God’s approval because we are in Christ
- Our cross we carry, as we follow Christ, which is light and not burdensome, because He is so worthy
- His eternal Word
- His Holy Spirit: comfort, wisdom, guidance, intercession, strength, help and supernatural power
- The promise of being with Christ our Lord when He calls us home, or when He returns
- The promise of The Resurrection of the just
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ… Eph.1:3.
Witnessing Encouragement 
Hi Loretta, I think you nailed just about everything that we need and don’t need. I think too often we forget all this when we are going through a trial or a struggle in our life. The truth is that Christ is all and more than we need.
It looks like you are wonderful encouragement to so many and may God bless you for that. I also write to give people the hope that God has a plan for us that cannot be stopped. We just need to believe. Sometimes it is tough. That is why we need to reach out and share our witness to those who are hurting.
