from whence come wars

From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4

from whence come wars…………………THE FLESH
no war of the carnal flesh is justified……………….
and every war, every war ever fought for whatever cause , it matters not,
was done so from LUST, to obtain something they didn’t have.
TEST THAT………and you will see it is truth.
OUR KINGDOM is NOT OF THIS WORLD…….
but anyone who fights for the worlds kingdom and calls it whatever,
its NOT OF GOD.
and I am not condemning anyone,
JUST WARNING.
way too many falsehoods out there, by way too many men NOT of GOD.
all be blessed. and lift up hands unto OUR LORD,
for his mercies upon us,
and may many more come into the fold of our LORD.
love and pray for your enemies,
BUT HEED NOT an ounce of their false words or ideas.
Just read that bible and follow our LORD. amen.

  1. Sounds good but not truth. MOST wars are due to lusting after other’s things, but NOT ALL wars. For instance, the children of Israel were told to take Canaan’s land and this required killing off some bad seed already inhabiting the land. This was ordered by God. Many times God told His people the Israelites to go and stop the unrighteousness which necessitated at His command the annihilation of wicked people. The wicked often fought back, which would be termed a war instigated by God. Haven’t you ever read these passages in the Bible Randall Lawry?

    • MissDebra, we are looking at Old Testament versus New Testament. God was establishing His witness in the world for His purposes. The NT scripture has more to do with man trying to do what man wants to do for his own purposes.

  2. I’m sure Randall is speaking of the New Testament. God no longer calls for his people to war in the flesh, but rather in the Spirit. However, Christian Institutes in times past, and today, run back to Augustine’s thesis on “Just Wars” seeking to justify their sin in the name of Jesus. This glorifies God not, sets the wrong example to a lost world, and blocks others form entering the kingdom……….bill

    • I agree with you there. It seems that as I speak of this I rarely find people that can except that. There are to many scriptures that talk about loving your enemy. Some like to speak of self defense as an ok thing. My response to that is not in a cavalier fashion but in all honesty I believe what happens in the moment is one thing, to purposely go to war to kill is another. This is the reason for the blood.
      Any thoughts?

  3. “every war ever fought for whatever cause” does not mean New Testament. I think Randall is taking New Testament scriptures and using them with too much liberty. Israel today may be going to war against her enemies because certain ones, Iran for instance, want to destroy her. She may make the first move to take them out before they can get to this point. Israel’s motivation is not lust or greed, but defense which may come by way of making the first strike. I believe there are too many liberties taken with the scriptures these days. Why do people feel the need to defend reckless usages of scriptures? I myself do not feel this need.

  4. Israel is the church, the body of believers,.

God had promises to his faithful servant Abraham, yet he put away his OT wife flesh-Israel with a bill of divorce. According to the law of Moses, God cannot marry again a wife who has been put away for adultery. Therefore God does a miracle of the most brilliance; as he reconfigures the recipient of the promise as prophesied in Jeremiah 18:1-7. He made Israel again into a new vessel, while at the same time keeping the promises to Abraham. An absolutely brilliant maneuver by God who works all things for the good of those that love Him..

    peace bill

  5. I’m not seeing what you’re saying here. Israel will eventually be grafted in once again however, they to will have to come by faith. I also don’t understand what you mean about “not every war ever fought is not N.T.”.

  6. There is only one Israel of God Galatians 6-16, Who does Paul say Israel (the Israel of God). The Jewish people, who ever they are, must come by way of the cross, for the way unto salvation is finished. God is not coming back to do a special work of salvation for any nation of people, the cross is the ONLY WAY, all that reject Christ will perish in their iniquity no matter what race or clan they claim to belong to..

15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, (((but a new creature))).
16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

All that are born of the Spirit are spiritual Jews and new creatures in Christ, Romans 2-28,29, these are the Israel of God.

God cannot go back and re-marry His former wife, that would make Him guilty of polygamy. His new bride is the church, the generic term, the proper noun is Israel.

    grace and truth, bill

  7. Michael
Romans 11 teaches that the Jews who come by way of the cross can once again be grafted in, It has been the same for 2000 years, if not then what about the salvation of Jewish people in the last 2000 years, did they not have any chance at all for salvation. The Scofield dual- dispensation (the two house twist) is a very New- Age doctrine, its only about 120 years old, however it was originally contrived by a Jesuit Monk in the 1580s named Francisco Ribera., then another Spanish Jesuit named Emanuel Lacunza refined in in 1790. Edward Irving brought it to life in the English language in 1827.

There is only one kingdom a person is either in or out, and Christ is the only way to enter therein. He has not two wives.. I would be more than pleased to answer any questions you may have with love and devotion to the truth to help in your understanding in Gods word for His glory,. However that E-Book I posted does a very thorough job and backed up by scripture only.. …peace be with you in Christ, Bill
